Sr. HR Operations Specialist (Contract)
Job Summary
- The Senior HR Operations Specialist is responsible for supporting day-to-day HR operations and providing specialized expertise to specific functional teams within the organization. They ensure the effective execution of HR processes, compliance with policies, and support for employee lifecycle activities across various business functions. Additionally, this role
- will support escalations, HR initiatives, and other special projects. The Senior HR Operations Specialist will be placed within specific teams within HR Operations.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to the business strategy by helping to identify, prioritize, and build candidate and Employee centered capabilities, behaviors, structures, and processes in alignment with business goals
- Identify program gaps and opportunities for growth by documenting processes, recommending improvements, and sharing best practices to ensure the continued success of program initiatives
- Ensure accurate and up-to-date Employee records, including personal information and employment status
- Update and manage HR Information Systems (HRIS), maintaining data integrity.
- Coordinate the onboarding process for new hires and manage offboarding tasks for departing Employees
- Assist with ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
- Collaborate with payroll and benefits teams to ensure accurate processing of Employee changes and issue resolution
- Assist with communication and implementation of HR policies, ensuring Employees are informed
- Serve as a first point of contact for Employee inquiries, providing timely and effective responses
- Prepare and generate reports on HR metrics such as compliance metrics, team productivity, and other necessary reporting needs
- Support efforts to streamline HR processes and identify areas for improvement • Assist with audit preparation, ensuring documentation and compliance records are up to date
- Process data and employment verifications to complete clearances and ensure appropriate checks are conducted for Employees in various job classes by reviewing job qualifications and requirements to ensure the necessary documentation is acquired
- Support cross-functional projects by providing subject matter expertise including research, detailed planning, and implementation
- May perform other job duties as directed by Employee’s Leader
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Knowledge of applying compliance regulations), and other regulatory requirements to complete daily work
- Knowledge of legal requirements related to employment screening, I9 verification, and data security
- Knowledge of principles and processes for providing Customer and personal services, including Customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of Customer satisfaction
- Skilled in identifying complex problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions
- Skilled in using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems
- Skilled in considering the relative costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate one
- Skilled in collecting, organizing, visualizing, and assimilating data, including turning raw data into meaningful information
- Ability to combine pieces of information to form general rules or conclusions (including finding a relationship among unrelated events)
- Ability to listen to, understand, and communicate ideas presented in writing and/or in speaking with others
- Ability to anticipate needs and use good business judgment in escalating priority issues
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines, ensuring all onboarding processes are completed on time
Required:
- Required: High School Diploma or GED
Experience:
- Intermediate level experience, fully functioning broad knowledge in:
- HR Disciplines, principles, practices and policies
- HR Operations (i.e. Absence Management, Compliance, Pre-Employment, and Quality Assurance)
Licensing/Certification:
Physical Abilities:
- Ability to perform work duties from [limited space work-station/desk/office area] for extended periods of time
- Ability to communicate and interact with others in the English language to meet the demands of the job
- Ability to use a computer and other office productivity tools with sufficient speed and accuracy to meet the demands of the job
Other Qualifications:
- Must maintain a well-groomed appearance per Company appearance standards as described in established guidelines
- Must be a U.S. citizen or have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must be able to comply with Company attendance standards as described in established guidelines
Pay
- Competitive market rate from $49.00 - $59.00/Hour
Assignment Length
- This contract is a 6 month assignment, and the duration may be modified based on business need.
- Pay amount doesn’t guarantee employment for any particular period
