Role Summary
We are seeking a seasoned legal professional to support complex domestic and global commercial transactions. The role involves acting as a strategic legal advisor to the business, leading contract negotiations, advising on regulatory matters, and enabling risk-aware decision-making across business units.
Key Responsibilities
Commercial Contracts & Transactions
- Draft, review, and negotiate complex global and domestic commercial contracts, including but not limited to:
oDigital and IT contracts
oFinancing and leasing agreements
oLoan and security documentation
oProcurement and vendor contracts
- Lead end-to-end legal support for strategic business transactions, partnerships, and acquisitions.
- Strategize, negotiate, and successfully close complex commercial deals.
Legal Advisory & Risk Management
- Serve as a trusted legal advisor to senior management on transaction structuring, risk assessment, and mitigation strategies.
- Proactively identify legal and regulatory risks and provide practical, business-oriented solutions.
- Drive transaction risk reviews, remove deal roadblocks, and facilitate swift, informed decision-making.
Regulatory & Compliance Support
- Advise the business on applicable legal and regulatory requirements relevant to operations and new initiatives.
- Monitor changes in laws and regulations and assess their impact on the organization.
- Participate in developing and improving internal legal processes, policies, and procedures to reduce legal risk.
Business Enablement
- Support new business initiatives by balancing regulatory compliance with commercial objectives.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams (Finance, Procurement, Sales, Technology, Risk, Compliance).
- Occasionally manage and coordinate with external counsels to obtain legal opinions and transaction support.
Legal Function Development
- Develop and execute functional plans to manage legal matters efficiently.
- Improve legal infrastructure, processes, and documentation to enhance scalability and risk mitigation.
Experience & Qualification Requirements
- Qualified legal professional (LLB or equivalent) from a reputed university.
- 10–12 years of experience in corporate law, gained either in-house or at a leading law firm.
- Demonstrated experience handling complex domestic and global commercial transactions.
- Strong exposure to working with senior leadership on high-value, strategic matters.
- Proven ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously in a fast-paced business environment.
