The Aircraft Technician supports Engineering by performing operation functions to enable our customers to enjoy our service in the form of exceptional safety, on-time performance and cabin experience.
Key Responsibilities
Line Maintenance is an operational critical section in Engineering Department that supports the Company’s brand and business by delivering a safe, reliable and cost-effective line maintenance service to Cathay Pacific Airways as well as our third party customers in the global network.
The Aircraft Technician leads a team of Aircraft Mechanics in performing operational functions under the supervision of Aircraft Engineer ensuring delivery of a safe and exceptionally reliable travel experience that supports our brand and business.
1、Responsible for:
- Lead a team of Aircraft Mechanics to perform and certify routine and non-routine maintenance for Cathay Pacific Group and third party aircrafts meet the Company / Customer / Authority’s requirements and standards
- Coordinate with other operational teams to ensure delivery of a safe and exceptionally reliable travel experience to the customers
- Ensure compliance with local Occupational Health & Safety standards and regulations / guidelines
- Oversee the performance of the ground handling third party suppliers
- Execute the contingency plans and support ad hoc operational requirements such as diversions, charters, ad hoc aircraft type changes, major disruption recovery, etc
- Lead, teach and coach other mechanics to perform servicing and maintenance on station ground equipment, vehicles and facilities to ensure the availability, serviceability and cleanliness
- Lead, teach and coach other mechanics to perform station administration and ensure station documentations / passes are up-to-date and valid
- Perform local or overseas operational relief duties as required
- Emergency and Accident and Crisis Response responsibilities as required
- Any other reasonable task as requested including engaging in non-operational duties and projects
Requirements
2、Academic Qualifications
- College degree is desirable
- HKAR-66 B1 / B2 / Cat A license, CCAR-66 license, or any equivalent license acceptable in HKAR-145
- Minimum of 1 current aircraft type authorisation, preferably on the type operated by CX and level 3 trained for B1 license holder, or minimum 1 Cat A aircraft type authorisation for a Cat A license holder
3、Knowledge, Skills, Training And Experience
- Demonstrated aptitude and understanding of aircraft technology and maintenance
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in an aircraft maintenance environment
- Good English skills on reading, writing, speaking and listening
- Good communication and problem-solving skills
- Good team spirit
