Johnson Service Group, a professional recruiting firm, is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Inventory Planner Analyst to join our client’s supply chain team. The Inventory Planner Analyst is responsible for ensuring optimal inventory levels by creating efficient supply plans based on demand forecasts, production capacity, and procurement timelines. This role works closely with sales, operations, production, and logistics to maintain product availability while minimizing excess inventory and supply disruptions. Responsibilities: Manage replenishment orders and receipts – involves inventory and order management, planning parameter maintenance and data entry for both domestic and import items; ensure that product is delivered to customers in the most efficient, timely and cost-effective manner. Develop and maintain supply plans based on demand forecasts, safety stock levels, and lead times. Monitor inventory performance against established KPIs, ensuring cost-effective inventory levels are achieved. Collaborate with factories and overseas teams to ensure timely availability of raw materials and finished goods. Identify and manage supply constraints, proactively resolving potential shortages or overages. Work closely with sales, warehousing, and logistics teams to ensure accurate forecasting. Maintain accurate item and forecast data ERP systems to produce reliable, up-to-date supply chain performance reports. Analyze supply chain performance metrics and suggest improvements to enhance efficiency. Support the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process by providing supply insights and scenario planning. Generate Purchase Orders within ERP system; maintain accurate costs tariffs, and any changes related to product specifications. Manage and track supplier invoices to ensure timely and accurate payments while reconciling monthly reports in collaboration with the accounting team to resolve variances between warehouses and internal accounting systems. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree, ideally in supply chain management, retail, business or related field. At least 2 years of experience in supply planning, production planning, or inventory management. Proficient in Excel and supply planning tools (e.g., NetSuite); comfortable working with large datasets and planning metrics. Strong understanding of supply chain processes, inventory control, and lead time management. Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a collaborative team environment. Experience in the manufacturing, distribution, and/or warehouse industry is strongly preferred.
