Position Summary:
The Cabin Vendor Manager (CVM) applies ample knowledge of principles, theories, concepts, industry practices in the development of engineering and certification solutions for various cabin modules (i.e. galleys, lavatories, stowage's), passenger and attendant seats, and IFE subjects.

Your working environment:
The Engineering Center in Mobile, Alabama houses hundreds of Airbus engineers who assist in the design and development of Airbus commercial aircraft cabins, including aftermarket upgrades, reconfigurations and services of all product types across the globe.

Your challenges:
Responsible for engineering development per the aircraft modification project plan
Responsible for generating specific technical solutions to support cabin or cargo compartment upgrades including, but not limited to, cabin or cargo monument/equipment installation, monument system and electrical definition.
Responsible for generating customized monument specifications.
Responsible for engineering (installation, adaptation or removal) drawings and ensuring their accuracy and quality.
Responsible for generating installation, adaptation or removal instructions to support input for Service Bulletins.
Responsible for determining the parts required for monument and kit definition.
Manage the engineering (installation, adaptation or removal) drawings and generating customized monument specifications using subcontractors (internal and external).
Support the certification process as required.
Strong liaison with other departments (both internally and internationally), vendors/suppliers and subcontractors.
Responsible for vendor liaison activities and meeting support.
Overall vendor risk and opportunity management.
Responsible for vendor and internal documentation support of the certification process, including Vendor Service Bulletins check.
Support with vendor ITCM, PDR, CDR, and FAI reviews with vendors and customers
Provide customer guidance during technical meetings and reviews.
Support on-site modification team as required, including direct on-site support during aircraft retrofits at MRO’s
Responsible for answering/resolving queries during and after aircraft embodiment.
Your boarding pass:
CAD Skills: Proven ability to create, interpret, and review designs using industry-standard CAD tools (e.g., CATIA).
Service Bulletins: General knowledge of the Service Bulletin production process, alongside the ability to read, interpret, and cross-reference SBs, Bills of Materials (BOM), and customer modification requirements.
Aircraft Cabin related experience.
Python or other programming language experience
Global Networking: Natural ability to build, nurture, and maintain a proactive internal network with colleagues across global Airbus sites.
Teamwork: A strong team player with the relationship-building skills required to align colleagues, airline clients, external partners, and airworthiness authorities.
Executive Presentation: Flawless written and verbal communication in technical English, with the ability to confidently present clear project status, risks, and strategies directly to the management team.
Utilize information from various sources to develop new approaches to mitigate risks
Strategic PM: In-depth knowledge of project management frameworks to predict downstream impacts on stakeholders and make optimal, objective decisions for the project.
Scope: Provide end-to-end engineering and project solutions on cabin modifications to directly support the Service Bulletin production lifecycle.
Internal Contacts: Collaborate cross-functionally across various organizations within Airbus Customer Services and global Line-Fit production organizations.
External Contacts: Interface directly with airline customers throughout project lifecycles to masterfully understand, manage, and meet customer expectations.
Involved, negotiation type communication on a regular basis with internal and external parties
Vision: able to see and read computer screen and other electronic equipment with screens, able to read documents, reports and engineering drawings. Daily
Hearing: able to hear to participate in conversations in person and via teleconference or phone and to hear sounds on production floor including safety warnings or alarms. Daily

Lifting: able to lift documents, tools, drawings, electronic equipment up to 30lbs/14kgs. Daily
