Johnson Service Group (JSG) is seeking a CNC Machine Mechanic for a Global Medical Device Company in Franklin, MA Job Type: Contract – 4+ Months Location: Onsite – Franklin, MA Pay: $30.00–$33.00 per hour DOE Schedule: Typically 7:00 AM–3:30 PM; flexible start time with the workday ending no later than 5:30 PM This is a great opportunity for a mechanically skilled individual who wants to build a career in CNC machine maintenance. Extensive CNC experience is not required. The company is willing to train the right candidate with strong mechanical aptitude, a willingness to learn, and a hands-on attitude. Responsibilities Perform basic preventive maintenance and troubleshooting on CNC machinery and manufacturing equipment Identify and report issues such as air leaks, oil leaks, and other maintenance concerns Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems Assist with maintenance of CNC mills, lathes, EDMs, and other manufacturing equipment Analyze equipment issues and help prevent machine downtime Document maintenance activities and report problems to senior maintenance technicians Work with Engineering and Maintenance teams to resolve equipment issues Follow all safety, FDA, ISO, and Good Documentation Practices (GDP) requirements Requirements: At least 1 year of relevant manufacturing, mechanical, or maintenance experience; CNC maintenance experience is a plus Strong mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn Experience with electrical, hydraulics, pneumatics, or troubleshooting is a plus Manufacturing experience in an FDA-regulated environment preferred Strong computer skills; SAP experience is a plus GDP (Good Documentation Practices) experience required Ability to read schematics and technical drawings is a plus Reliable, punctual, safety-conscious, and dependable Strong communication skills and a coachable attitude High school diploma or GED required Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a manufacturing environment You don't need to be an expert CNC mechanic.
