The Material Planner is responsible to manage the supply of raw materials and consumables to support manufacturing operation for Singapore Card and Module Assembly production, and the procurement of wristbands and card bodies on an ad-hoc basis to meet business requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for inventory planning and ensure timely stock replenishment to maintain uninterrupted material supply.
- Manage the material supply to support manufacturing operation for Singapore Card and Module Assembly production.
- Determine new purchase quantities based on standard lead time and safety stock rule and generate purchase requisition.
- Monitor JIT items and trigger the delivery when stock is running low.
- Validate material availability to support new customer orders released to production.
- Ensure optimal stock to mitigate potential supply risk, overstock, or obsolescence.
- Collaborate with Purchasing team to expedite or defer deliveries to ensure continuity of material supply.
- Track supplier deliveries to ensure on-time material availability.
- Manage material substitution and phase-in/phase-out activities.Identify slow-moving/ ageing inventory and implement mitigation action to minimize inventory obsolescence.
- Coordinate new item creation, item activation, and price maintenance activities.
- Work with cross-functional teams to resolve material-related issues impacting manufacturing operation and customer deliveries.
Requirements:
- Diploma/Degree in Business Administration/Management or equivalent
- Minimum 1 year relevant working experience in material planning
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a solid understanding of inventory planning and control.
- Good knowledge of Material Requirements Planning (MRP) and supply chain processes.
- Proficient in Microsoft office applications, particularly Microsoft Excel.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
