Role Purpose
Responsible to drive aircraft maintenance programme and fleet improvement initiatives in achieving sustainable MAB and global TDR standard. Accountable to develop the operational improvement initiative program to support TDR goal.
Key Accountability
- Accountable to drive and challenge OEM, airframe and engine manufacturer to provide solution for MAB on fleet, engine and component reliability with minimum financial impact on MAB.
- Ensure availability of effective technical specialist support for timely release of aircraft, engines and components in an acceptable airworthy conditions on all incidents and accidents events without compromising the quality and safety standard.
- Responsible to address and ensure Return-to-Chock (RTC) and Air-Turn-Back (ATB) events attributable to E&M are within industry standards.
- Responsible to ensure effectiveness and cost of the aircraft modification/specification standards and aircraft technical performance to ensure aircraft reliability efficiency gain is optimized.
- Responsible to provide technical advice to the Flight Operation Department and E&M for anticipating and resolving technical issues that present a risk to the on time departure and cost effectiveness.
- Responsible in Maintenance Review Board (MRB) meeting to lead the committee to optimum operational, safety and economic performance while ensuring improvement initiatives are implemented.
- Initiate studies and to furnish reports/recommendations as and when requested by immediate superior.
- Accountable for the aircraft availability and schedule disruption for safe operation, customer satisfactory and avoid delay cost.
Qualifications & Working Experience
- Degree in Engineering (Aeronautical/Aerospace/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering) with at least 7 years of working experience.
- Aircraft maintenance engineer licence with type rating (B1/B2 AMEL).
Skills & Knowledge
- Min 7 years working experience in related aviation field and with managerial position in Part M (preferably in Technical Services/MOC).
- Knowledge in business process of engineering and maintenance of aircraft.
- Conversant in civil aviation rules and regulations pertaining to aircraft type design, maintenance and operating standards.
- Possess good technical and general management skills.
- High degree of customer and business awareness.
- Team player with excellent people skills.
- Understand performance and health management of fleet.
- Able to perform internal and compliance audits.

- To apply management of change principal.
- Able to set milestone on every encounter of shortfall and drive through change.
- Ensuring safety and performance standards meets or exceed expectation as set by the company and industry.
