DIRECT REPORTDirector of Flight Operations
KEY ACCOUNTABILITYAccountable for strategy workforce planning and data analysis by overseeing the planning and optimization of workforce resources to ensure efficient and effective airline operations based on regulatory requirements and company objectives.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES- Accountable for safety and/or security on the part of flight operations.
- Develop and implement strategic for effective manpower planning, ensuring the right number of employees with the necessary skills are available at the right time to meet operational requirements.
- Collaborate with various departments to ensure just-right and in-time headcount where and when needed, balancing resources to manage peaks of demand
- Analyse forecasted and known production while considering training activities, ground duties, career movement, leave, and other critical factors to deliver accurate planning.
- Optimize crew utilization through effective training planning and resource planning decisions.
- Provides administrative support to the flight operations department, including document management, correspondence, and scheduling.
- Utilize data analytics tools and techniques to analyse workforce trends, identify patterns, and provide insights for informed decision-making in manpower planning and resource allocation
- Collaborate with various departments to forecast future workforce needs based on business projections, market trends, and operational requirements. Develop demand planning models to optimize resource allocation
- Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to streamline processes and improve operational efficiency within the flight operations department.
- Act as a liaison between the flight operations department and other internal departments as well as external vendors.
- Prepare data analysis efforts, generating reports and providing insights to optimize crew scheduling and resource allocation.
- Assist the Director of Flight Operations in special projects and initiatives as required (PMO: Project Management Office).
- Support the Director of Flight Operations and his direct reports to uphold departmental obligations in alignment with the company's goals.
- Work closely with finance and HC teams to develop and manage budgets related to manpower planning. Identify opportunities for cost optimization while ensuring operational efficiency.
- Develop and maintain workforce analytics dashboards and reports to track key performance indicators (KPIs), monitor workforce productivity, and identify areas for improvement.
- Prepare and review the any Flight Operations policy and relevant process.
- Such other duties assigned by the Director of Flight Operations.
QUALIFICATION & WORKING EXPERIENCE- Bachelor's degree in Aviation Management, Business Administration or a related field
- 3 -5 years of experience in related industry
SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE- Proven experience in manpower planning within the airline industry, with a strong understanding of workforce optimization and resource planning.
- Exceptional organizational and analytical skills with the ability to make informed, data-driven decisions.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with various stakeholders and departments
- In-dept knowledge of manpower planning software and systems
