The opportunity
We are looking for a logistics operative to join us at our Luton site. This role will involve the day to day processing of all aspects of Manufacturing Logistics, including Goods- Inwards, Stores, Customer Owned equipment, Shipping and Inspection

Processing of received goods
The effective through put of all materials through goods in and inspection, in line with the agreed Service levels and Processes.
Inventory management
Ensure that inventory accuracy is maintained in line with the agreed business requirements.
Ensure that all inventory is located and picked as laid down by the businesses processes
Ensure all goods issued are in appropriate packing as agreed with the project. / manufacturing.
Ensure that all materials are adequately stored and that they are not subject to any damage of any
type either physically or electrically by static damage
Identify and implement disposal of redundant inventory as laid down by business processes and in
line with financial drivers.
Maximize storage medium efficiency Carry out stock audits and cycle counts as required.
Shipping
The timely and accurate processing of all outgoing deliveries, ensuring that all packaging is fit for purpose before goods are despatched.
Inspection
Ensure accurate and timely inspection of all incoming deliveries as per agreed SLA’s ensuring compliance to Business receiving process.
All employees are required to be flexible and to undertake additional duties as directed by their *line manager, in order to meet the needs of the business.
What We Need From You
- Good Personal, Interpersonal, Organisational, Time Management and Planning Skills, as well as the ability to work within a wider team.
- Good Monitor/Evaluator attributes, and Co-ordination skills.
- Tenacious and determined, with good problem solving ability.
- Good MRP/ERP understanding as well as excellent process awareness. Good all-round computer literacy, including all Microsoft Office applications. SHE awareness.
Education
- Good level of Secondary Education with a minimum of O – level / GCSE in Mathematics and English.
Experience
- Experience of Goods-Inwards Receiving, Despatch, Stores or warehouse environments preferable however full training will be given.
