Are you ready to play a vital role in supporting one of the world's most advanced maritime patrol aircraft programs? BDA is now seeking an experienced Systems Administrator to join the P-8A Poseidon team based at RAAF Base Edinburgh. In this role, you will manage and maintain a diverse range of complex IT systems that help keep our military customer mission ready.
Responsibilities:
As a Systems Administrator, you will:
- Install, configure and maintain servers, networks and other IT/OT infrastructure components.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal operation.
- Carry out patching and system hardening activities.
- Manage user accounts, permissions and access controls.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose software and hardware issues.
- Monitor backup and disaster recovery protocols.
- Document and track system configurations.
Experience/Qualifications
We are seeking candidates with:
- Strong knowledge of operating systems (Windows, Linux, etc.).
- Familiarity with networking concepts and protocols (Cisco, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc.).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Understanding of cyber security practices.
- Familiarity with ticketing systems.
- Ability to obtain NV2.
Please note: this role includes shiftwork, so we encourage applications from candidates who are comfortable and available to work rotating or assigned shifts.
