Boeing Global Services (BGS)and
Boeing Distribution, Inc. (BDI) are seeking an
Associate Customer Support Specialist to join the Defense Fleet Readiness team based in
Dallas, TX. In this role, the focus will be on supporting our Defense Fleet Readiness Programs by leveraging our BDI Product Portfolio to supply parts & services for our Boeing Defense Platforms. This customer support representative will also work closely with our larger Engine MROs to provide product support and communicate key deliveries on engine material for specific GE military applications such as J85, F404, CT7, and/or T700.
This position allows telecommuting. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options: Dallas, TX.
Position Responsibilities:
- Coordinate responses to customer inquiries for spare parts requirements and facilitates delivery problem resolution
- Coordinate collection and processing of supplier and/or customer data and/or information regarding delivery of spare parts, provisioning products or related services
- Enters, tracks, monitors and coordinates customer material, delivery requirements and returns for customer orders
- Manage and execute supplier management strategies to ensure on-time delivery
- Manage the approval of RFQs and proposals for individual
- Assists in the analysis of supplier and customer data regarding products and services to include repair capabilities, capacity, and performance
- Monitoring dashboards and/or reports out of Spotfire (and other reporting tools) and review/create reporting and/or analytics using Microsoft Excel and/or Smart Sheet tool
- Will work closely with leadership, program managers, supply chain, product line team and other key stake holders to support OTD objectives
- Be able to communicate and present clear & effectively. Complete tasks with little to no supervision
The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R.
- 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee. Employer will not sponsor applicants for employment visa status.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- 1+ years Customer support or customer service experience
- 1+ years experience with Supply Chain processes
- 1+ year experience with SAP or similar ERP systems highly preferred
- Ability to handle high pressure situations
- Experience with Excel, Access, or other database management
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment
- Experience communicating and collaborating directly with internal or external customers, peers, other employees, and all levels of leadership
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Tools
- 5+ Years in an Operations, Distribution Center, Aerospace, or similar/related environment highly preferred
- Bachelor’s degree or higher
- Experience performing data analysis and troubleshooting
- Experience with ERP reporting systems (i.e. Spotfire, Tableau, etc)
Typical Education/Experience:
- High school diploma or GED and typically 3 or more years' related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
