We are looking for a Junior Purchasing Manager to join our team in Malta. This role will play a key role in the overall procurement process and in the management of our global network of suppliers.
Your Responsibilities
Reporting to the Purchasing Director, your responsibilities will include:
• Coordinating activities to ensure that department objectives are achieved • Contact regularly with current suppliers / vendors to maintain effective business relationships and productive cooperation with them in order to optimise the services provided in terms of performance, quality and cost, whilst looking for new opportunities with new vendors• Negotiation of Contract terms with suppliers whilst liaising with legal counsel• Maintaining stock levels of Uniforms and monitoring records of stocks ordered and received, understanding trends and providing updates to Uniforms Coordinator • Assist internal requisitioners in following the purchasing process • Assist in the logistics of goods from point to point and Analysing • Interact cross-functionally with key stakeholders; understanding their needs and find common grounds for best solutions• Tracking purchasing activities and measurements• Assist and support Purchasing Managers in developing and implementing the purchasing strategy for the Company• Make sure Company policy and procedures are taken into consideration throughout • Manage logistics, identify problems and producing new solutions
Required Skills, Qualifications, and Experience
• Tertiary level of education and / or minimum of 3 years in the procurement of supplies and services (ideally both)• Strong negotiation skills• Strong analytical, planning and organizational skills• Strong commercial focus and business-critical analysis• Creative and innovative thinking• Great communication skills• Aviation experience is considered as an Asset• Experience to work in a fast pace environment• Team player, self-driven, taking initiative and enthusiastic• Ability to work independently• Ability to work under pressure• Willing to travel when/if necessary• Experience on SAP is considered as an Asset• Excellent communication skills in English
