Founded in 2021, the Airbus Global Business Services (AGBS) unit will be contributing to Airbus’ global success and play a vital role in Airbus’ transformation journey in standardisation, harmonisation, digitalisation and automation of end-to-end processes (e.g. Procure to Pay) of all overhead functions.

Responsibilities - your mission
Senior Level
Offers Costing pricing
Manages Costing Pricing consolidation of offers of various perimeter at product of some program level
Drumbeats the convergence of the costs/price towards de Target Must Cost/
As such, coordinates the stakeholders (Engineering, Operations, Commercial, Program, Procurement…) contributing to the costs.
Owns the offer “cost brochure”, i.e. comprehensive description of the deliverables and the related detailed costing file.
Accountable for the consistency between the technical, industrial, commercial and programmatic baseline and the costing/pricing assumptions for the complete project.
Is responsible for the financial elements of the offer, the final price calculation and their integration for decision into the relevant gates (MG3, RMC)
Promotes the Cost Engineering capabilities in AD
Cost models and referential management
Manages the cost models configuration and update with the relevant cost owners : structured data base with or not parametric to support the costing of project / program / equipment
Manages the various cost referential : Collect actuals from running project, identify and evaluate with project staffing changes to previous run (e.g. CCNs, waterfall, revenu+MR+TC evolution);
Prepare/update deviation/cost evolution report (template defined by Airbus); prepare input for benchmark database (TARGET/Excel input format for cost referentials inputs)
Independent cost estimate
Performs independent cost estimate of systems & subsystem in order to secure bottom-up quotation with a “third party approach using analytic, parametric or similarity approach.
Explain and guides the costing results to support “gap analysis” and help to identify risks and opportunities to the internal customers.
Operational tasks
Coordinates activities to ensure accurate and timely quotation deliveries by the cost owners.
Delivers should cost to support the convergence towards the TMC/TMP and support the Senior representatives for Bids
Secures close alignment between the internal customer needs and the cost engineering support provided
Determines the approach for the cost estimations and defines the resources needed to support the execution of the subject estimation.
Delivers the Bid Cost brochure (set of assumptions and deliverables aligned with the consolidated costing) for the Industrial and Cost review
Prepares the pricing and all the financial entries of the Offer decisional gates (MGs, RMC…)
Supports the Pricing team for the commercial offer finalization up to contract signature.
Manages the transition from the costing to the Program EAC after program Kick Off.
Prepares, and synthesises the required assumptions for an independent costing estimate. In case of partial inputs, generate consistent assumptions in agreement with programs
Compiles, deliver all cost engineering files to internal customers explaining rationale and cost impacts related to the assumptions
Consolidates cost estimates from various cost engineering domains and deliver it to the customer (internal).
Support Programs in cost target setting and negotiation/Buy-in with stakeholders
Supports Programs to challenge, assess and negotiate costs of suppliers and / or internal cost owners
Analyse the variance between the cost engineering view and other sources of estimation and support reconciliation /negotiation
Secures knowledge management on cost evolution and requests for customer
Act as an senior support for the team coordination and establishing the costing support activities for Airbus GBS
