The role
As an Electrical Supervisor, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You will lead a team of Industrial and Non-Industrial Trades responsible for carrying out planned and reactive maintenance, testing and commissioning activities on Fleet Assets. Ensuring completion of all planned project activities to ensure the department meets the objectives of the business to time, cost, safety, and quality standards.
Day-to-day, you’ll lead and manage an Electrical trades team for the delivery of Fleet Engineering work packages. Ensuring delivery of objectives in terms of safety, cost, time, and quality requirements. Using technical capability to collaborate with project stakeholders to plan and schedule packages of work. You will also:
- Work with other members of the Fleet Operations Directorate to define and detail the work required to deliver each electrical activity. Defining each manageable task and schedule of activities to remove conflicts.
- Ensure all documentation is reviewed and ready at commencement and throughout each work package.
- Manage subcontractors in accordance with site processes.
- Implementation and promotion of the Company’s Safety, Quality and Environmental policies during projects, ensuring that assessments of risks are carried out which lead to safe working attitudes and practices.
- Create and manage demand profiles for internal resource and external sub-contractor to complete work packages.
This position involves working at height. Candidates must be able to work safely and perform tasks at varying heights.
This role is full time, 37 hours per week and is based onsite at Faslane, the role also includes a half day on Friday’s.
Essential experience of the Electrical Supervisor
- Electrical Supervisory experience.
- Awareness and application of Safe Systems of Work.
- Must be able to work safely and perform tasks at varying heights.
- Experience in a Marine, Nuclear or Oil & Gas is desirable.
Qualifications for the Electrical Supervisor
- HNC in a relevant engineering discipline or equivalent experience.
Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
