As a
Medical Training Specialist, you will design and deliver medical training services adhering to product, regulatory and quality specifications. You will contribute to the Group Medical Training (GMT) objectives by delivering business requirements through the application of specialist and leadership skills.
In This Role, You Will
- Deliver highly engaging and effective medical training services, using conventional and innovative approaches to deliver content and utilising adult learning methods in adherence with departmental training objectives.
- Complete all associated training tasks, ensuring they are delivered on time, adhere to quality standards and meet customer expectations. This includes maintaining equipment and resources and accurately completing required documentation.
- Actively gauge learners during sessions, adapting your approach when necessary to improve engagement and effectiveness. Seek and review learner feedback and provide recommendations to achieve favourable outcomes.
- Develop medical training products and services in collaboration with project leader(s) and team members to ensure specifications are met. Explore and implement emerging methods and technologies, taking into consideration customer and business needs, best practices and desired training outcomes.
- Lead and complete projects related to GMT programmes, such as Regulations and Compliance and Quality and Development, as well as ad hoc project requirements delegated by the line manager. Adhere to agreed scope and budget, taking accountability for team and individual performance, including the development of team members.
- Take ownership of agreed performance goals, competencies and development plans. Self-assess productivity to ensure contribution towards the achievement of departmental KPIs and objectives. Apply the skills needed to achieve individual goals based on agreed development plans.
- Review regulations and ensure compliance through implementation across products, services and departmental processes, and through the submission of requirements to relevant stakeholders. Conduct audits, document findings and provide recommendations to avert potential issues. Prepare evidence and participate in audits conducted by regulators or stakeholders.
- Develop guidelines and frameworks to ensure alignment of all business activities with GMT objectives, KPIs, policies and best practices. Develop strategies to understand customer needs and preferences, identify opportunities for continuous improvement and implement relevant initiatives.
Qualification
To be successful in this role, you must meet the following requirements:
- Degree or equivalent in a medical-related field, with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience within Medical, Allied Health or Paramedic services.
- Certificate and/or recent experience as an instructor or trainer, with a minimum of 3 years' experience delivering Basic Life Support (BLS) and First Aid instruction.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in instructional design, with strong knowledge of adult learning, BLS, first aid and aeromedical concepts and regulations.

- Strong data processing and analysis skills, with the ability to draw meaningful conclusions and prepare comprehensive reports.
- Experience in quality improvement, auditing and continuous improvement.
- Strong stakeholder management, conflict resolution, interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
- Experience in leadership, performance management, coaching and mentoring, with an understanding of international best practices in Learning & Development and Adult Education.
