Senior Executive Network Decision Support & Analytics

Position Summary
This position will assist in providing analytical insights and data analysis while leveraging existing systems and databases to support the decision-making process for the Network Planning and Fleet divisions within Malaysia Aviation Group (MAG). This role is responsible to provide critical insights and scenario-based forecasting necessary to maximize the airline’s competitive edge, financial performance, and operational viability.
Key Accountabilities
- Monitoring and Reporting: Support the management of route profitability dashboard reports (MH and FY). Act as the single point of contact for network financials and KPIs to advise Management on subsequent actions.
- Scenario Planning: Assist in running different scenarios and plans using Network Planning tools to evaluate the viability of current and future routes.
- Analytical Support: Provide on-demand analytical support to the Network Planning team for various assigned projects and analyses.
- Fleet Projects: Assist with analytical support for fleet projects, including aircraft capability, economic analysis, cabin layout changes, and fleet assignment changes.
- Business development: To assist the Head of Department in representing MAG at government engagements, global-level conferences and corporate events, and to provide information as necessary
- Research & Benchmarking: Conduct research on trends and developments affecting the current and future MAG (Malaysia Aviation Group) network.
- Training & Development: Monitor personal training needs and progress in coordination with the Head of Department or Manager.
Qualifications & Experience
- Degree in Mathematics, Economics, Business, Finance, Airline Management, or a relevant field
- At least 2-4 years of professional experience

- Awareness of geopolitical events and their effects on airline networks and passenger demand.
- Familiarity with industry tools and databases (e.g., Excel, Power BI).
- Intermediate knowledge of Network Planning systems and industry demand data (DDS, OAG, or Cirium).
- Intermediate knowledge of fleet databases and aircraft performance data.
- Ability to develop financial models and intermediate-level project management skills.
- Understanding of Economics, traffic growth trends, and aircraft capabilities.
