Role Introduction
Reports To: Cargo Indoor Sales Coordinator
The Hong Kong Cargo Sales team plays a key role in bringing significant revenue to the airline with a focus on expanding capacity and developing sales in the region. This role is required to perform daily indoor sales activity to drive for revenue and utilization of short-term capacity.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Enquiries and Booking
- Proactively interact with customers and interline (JBA) to sell short-term offer so as to maximize revenue and tonnage performance of assigned sales area
- Handle incoming calls from our internal and external customers on cargo enquiries and requests
- Coordinate the booking process of special products such as Priority Lift, Expert Lift, DG Lift, Secure Lift, Pharma Lift, Live Animal Lift, E-commerce etc., and conduct effective flight planning
- Handle booking queue for the flights of the assigned sales area
Station-Level Space Optimization
- To fully optimize available space by reshuffling allocation and grasping ad-hoc opportunities in the market
- Provide pre-trimming info to load control for Cargo-On-Pax (COP) flights / passenger flights and prepare e-load plan for all outgoing flights ex HKG
Indoor Sales Support
- Gather information on market intelligence to Indoor Sales Coordinator and Outdoor Sales
- Perform administrative duties and provide support on agent performance reviews
- Deliver high standard of customer services by monitoring cargo inventory and provide service recovery options
- Consolidate customers’ feedbacks for service recommendations
- Support the implementation of new initiatives or projects
- Provide on the job training for short-term Secondees from other departments
Requirements
- Minimum HKCEE/HKDSE qualifications, with at least 5 subjects passed including English language, or equivalent
- Minimum 1 year of airline working experience, preferably gained from cargo operations
- PC literacy including MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Knowledge with Champ's CargoSpot and CTO's WOS systems will be an advantage
- Good in analytical and numerical reasoning, with sound knowledge in the usage of Automated Sales Platform, GLS's EzyCargo, Envirotainer Portal and Qilkview (Insight)
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Proficient in written and spoken English. Ability to speak Mandarin is preferred.
- Good team player and willing to work under deadline.
- Able to perform shift duties including weekends and public holidays
- Willing to work overtime on a need basis will be an advantage
