Enterprise Applications Specialist – PLM / Engineering Systems

Resource Group is supporting a growing aerospace organisation in Switzerland in the recruitment of an Enterprise Applications Specialist to take ownership of key applications supporting its engineering and manufacturing activities.
This is a hands-on position sitting at the intersection of Engineering, Manufacturing and IT. The successful candidate will be responsible for the administration, integration and continuous development of the organisation's engineering application landscape, with a particular focus on PLM, CAD and connected enterprise systems.
The role offers the opportunity to have a direct impact on how engineering data, processes and applications are structured as the organisation continues to grow.
Key Responsibilities
Take ownership of key engineering and enterprise applications, with a strong focus on Siemens Teamcenter and NX.
Configure, administer and continuously improve PLM and engineering applications.
Manage application access, user permissions, licences and system configurations.
Support the integration of PLM, CAD, ERP and manufacturing systems, ensuring reliable data flow across the organisation.
Develop and improve engineering workflows relating to product structures, BOMs, configuration and engineering changes.
Troubleshoot application and integration issues and provide technical support to engineering and manufacturing users.
Coordinate application upgrades, migrations, testing and deployment activities.
Develop scripts and automation solutions where appropriate to improve efficiency and reduce manual processes.
Work closely with Engineering, Manufacturing and IT stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions.
Coordinate with external software vendors and implementation partners.
Support application roadmap development, licence optimisation and future system selection.
Identify opportunities for process automation and emerging technologies.
Provide guidance, documentation and training to application users.
Your Profile
Degree or equivalent qualification in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or a related technical discipline.
Professional experience supporting PLM, CAD or engineering applications within an engineering or manufacturing environment.
Strong hands-on experience with Siemens Teamcenter.
Experience with Siemens NX or comparable CAD environments.
Good understanding of engineering processes including BOM management, product structures, configuration management and engineering change processes.
Experience integrating PLM applications with ERP, MES or other enterprise systems.
Understanding of databases, APIs and system interfaces.
Experience with SQL and/or scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell or Shell would be advantageous.
Exposure to tools such as Polarion, Jira or Altium would be beneficial.
Experience within aerospace, defence, automotive, machinery or another advanced manufacturing environment would be highly valued.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate effectively between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Fluent English; German would be advantageous.
Swiss or EU citizenship or valid Swiss working permit holder
