About the role
Join Babcock New Zealand as an Engineering Change Project Controller and provide the coordination and project controls support that keeps engineering change projects moving. Supporting work for the Royal New Zealand Navy, you’ll help maintain schedules, track costs and risks, coordinate documentation, monitor progress and prepare reports that give project teams clear visibility of delivery.
This is a great opportunity for someone with project coordination or project controls experience who enjoys being organised, working with detail and bringing people and information together. You’ll coordinate across engineering, project management and other stakeholders, helping ensure project records, schedules, changes and compliance documentation are accurate and up to date while developing your experience within a complex maritime environment.
About you
You are an organised and detail-focused project coordinator or project controls professional with experience supporting projects through effective administration, scheduling, reporting and document control. You’re comfortable tracking actions, costs, risks and changes while coordinating information across multiple stakeholders. You communicate clearly, manage competing priorities and take pride in keeping project information accurate and up to date. With strong systems skills and a proactive approach, you’re ready to develop your project controls career within a complex Defence environment.

Key Required Qualifications
- Relevant qualification in Project Management, Engineering or equivalent experience
- Project Management diploma or relevant bachelor’s degree
- CAPM, CPPP or equivalent recognised project management certification
- Eligible to obtain and maintain a NZ Defence Security Clearance
