Job Summary: To test, evaluate, estimate, and perform the repair, modification or overhaul of customer returned units to manufacturing specifications using maintenance manuals, test procedures, manufacturing outlines, blueprints, or schematics, per customer requirements and in compliance with all FAA regulations. Essential Functions: Responsible for diagnostic testing, evaluating, troubleshooting, and estimating the time and parts that are required to complete the repair, modification, or overhaul. Responsible for selecting and requisitioning replacement parts as required. Responsible for reassembling units and replacing parts, including soldering, potting, and testing as required to complete the repair, modification, or overhaul. Accountable for the time, parts, and quality of work performed on the unit and the accurate recording of these on all applicable paperwork. Responsible to perform work within all related ISO 9001 work instructions and procedures. Responsible to continuously pursue process improvement and cooperatively participate in all team activities. Minimum Qualifications: Must have current experience in the overhaul, modification, and repair of electronic components. Must have the ability to read, understand, and follow manuals blueprints, and all written work instructions and procedures in English. Must be able to use all hand tools, soldering irons, and all bench test equipment. Must be able to function and participate in a team environment. FAA repairman's certificate preferred but not required. Eligibility Requirement: This position may require access to Controlled Data or Information.
