Role PurposeResponsible for managing and coordinating all aspects of aircraft engine planning, including shop visit forecasting, work package review, engine tracking, and communication with contracts and warranty teams. This role requires close collaboration with engineering, maintenance, supply chain teams as well as external stakeholders to ensure the optimal performance and availability of aircraft engines.
Key Accountabilities - Develop and maintain accurate forecasts for engine shop visits by analyzing operational data, engine cycles, and flight hours, while coordinating with maintenance and operations teams to align schedules with aircraft availability.
- Review and define engine work packages for shop visits to meet regulatory and quality standards and coordinate with engineering teams in incorporating necessary modifications and updates.
- Maintain current records of engine locations and status, track movements, ensure accurate documentation, and utilize engine tracking systems to monitor utilization and life-limited part (LLP) status.
- Liaise with contracts and warranty teams to resolve issues, ensure compliance with terms, and manage contract negotiations, claims, and disputes with suppliers and maintenance providers.
- Analyze engine performance data to identify trends and areas for improvement, prepare reports for senior management, and provide recommendations to enhance reliability, reduce costs, and improve efficiency.
- Ensure engine planning activities comply with aviation regulations and safety protocols, stay updated on regulatory changes, and implement safety and quality assurance processes.
- Develop and manage the budget for component activities, identify cost-saving opportunities, and monitor expenditures to ensure adherence to budgetary constraints
Qualification & Experience - Degree in Aerospace, Aeronautical or Mechanical Engineering (Aeronautical) with 7 Working years in relevant experience.
Skills & Knowledge - Deep understanding of aircraft engine systems, maintenance procedures, and repair techniques
- Ability to analyze performance and maintenance data, identify trends, and make data-driven recommendations
- Familiarity with aviation regulations, safety standards, and industry best practices
- Skills in developing and maintaining accurate forecasts and schedules.
- Effective communication with contracts, warranty teams, and engineering departments.
