How You'll Help Us Keep Climbing (Overview & Key Responsibilities)
The Controllership Innovation team is seeking a curious, analytically strong professional to help design and deliver process and technology solutions in a controlled finance environment. This role will work across stakeholders to understand current-state processes, identify business value, gather and translate requirements, and support project design through delivery.
The right person will bring a blend of consulting-style problem solving, finance or accounting experience, and technical fluency. They should be energized by understanding how things work, why they work that way, and how to improve them in a scalable, well-controlled way.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with stakeholders across the business to understand current-state processes, pain points, and desired outcomes
- Lead stakeholder interviews, discovery sessions, and requirements gathering for innovation and transformation initiatives
- Support project design by translating business needs into practical process, data, and technology solutions
- Evaluate opportunities through the lens of business value, control considerations, and long-term scalability
- Work within a SOX-controlled environment, ensuring solutions align with governance, risk, and compliance expectations
- Contribute across the solution lifecycle, including design, documentation, testing, and implementation support
- Apply knowledge of SDLC standards and testing practices to help deliver high-quality solutions
- Use data and analytics to inform decisions, identify trends, and support process improvement opportunities
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners in finance, accounting, technology, and operations to move initiatives forward
What You Need To Succeed (Minimum Qualifications)
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, Business, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in consulting, finance, accounting, process improvement, transformation, or a related field
- Experience working in a SOX-controlled environment and ITGCs
- Experience in stakeholder interviewing, requirements gathering, and process or project design
- Familiarity with software development lifecycle standards and testing practices
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to understand business processes, identify value drivers, and translate needs into practical solutions
- Experience working with data and analytics tools or languages such as SQL or Python
- Consistently prioritizes safety and security of self, others, and personal data.
- Embraces diverse people, thinking, and styles.
- Possesses a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency.
- Is at least 18 years of age and has authorization to work in the United States.
What Will Give You a Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications)
- Experience in both consulting and finance or accounting environments
- CPA designation
- Experience with Power Platform
- Experience with Power BI or Microsoft Fabric
- Experience administering Blackline automations (journals, matching, data sources, etc.)
- Experience supporting cross-functional transformation, automation, or innovation initiatives
- Experience working across business and technical teams to deliver scalable solutions
