The Manager Brand Strategy & Propositions role at Virgin Atlantic Ltd. is an exceptional opportunity for a strategic and innovative individual who thrives on challenging the status quo in the ever-changing travel landscape. As the Brand Strategy & Propositions Manager, you will have the chance to think big and leverage consumer insight, commercial understanding, and brand expertise to create brand strategy frameworks and consumer-facing innovation that will drive growth, enhance brand power, and generate incremental commercial success. This role will focus in the Virgin Atlantic Holidays area of our business but with connection into multiple other areas that impact the customer experience.
- Support the delivery and integration of the new Virgin Atlantic Holidays positioning and product & experience strategy, contributing to the development of a clear and compelling framework that will guide the Holidays business for the next 3-5 years.
- Develop innovation roadmaps, built against consumer, customer & commercial insight and benchmarked against internal growth targets.
- Build strong collaborative relationships among different teams within the organization, effectively facilitating communication and coordination between individuals, projects, and external partners and ensuring adherence to brand guardrails.
- Facilitate the successful sharing of project information across the organization, increasing its impact beyond the immediate team.
- Benefit from the wisdom of external resources to establish top-notch standards and encourage others to think creatively and push their limits.
- Collaborate with the Consumer & Customer Insights team and conduct data analysis to generate valuable insights for new brand strategies and propositions.
- Champion consumer centricity by showcasing "best in class" examples.
- Apply macro trends to identify innovation spaces and create a new propositions canvas.
- Collaborate effectively with customer and design teams to ensure new initiatives align with the overarching brand-business strategy.
- Assist in the preparation of proposals to support the development of new products, efficiently mobilizing resources within the organization for successful implementation.
- Collaborate with agencies and internal teams to implement new ideas that align with the brand platform, while successfully meeting brand and commercial objectives.
About you
- 8+ years experience in an innovation or strategy role in a client side or agency environment
- Evidence of successful innovation pipeline and concept development in a previous role
- Experience in using consumer insights (qual and quant) to create strategy & NPD
- Experience in developing and/or leveraging strategic brand and innovation frameworks to create positioning strategy, brand propositions or innovation concepts
- Strong analytical, critical thinking & strategic evaluation skills
- A passion for trends and innovation
- Collaborative and agile leadership skills – both across department peers and of small project teams
- A customer-centric mindset
- Evidence of working comfortably in a highly ambiguous environment
- BA/BS degree or equivalent
