About the team you are joining
You will
be reporting to the Senior Principal, IATA Consulting for the Americas region
in direct line. You will be working alongside a brilliant team of highly
talented Consultants and Subject Matter Experts from diverse culture, backgrounds,
and nationalities.
What your day would be like
You will
be accountable for developing, commercializing and delivering IATA’s Operational Readiness and Airport Transfer (ORAT) consulting
services. Responsibilities will include:
1.
Perform business development initiatives in close collaboration with the Senior
Principal IATA Consulting for the Americas:
Nurture
relationships with key clients;
Identify
and qualify business leads;
Prepare
technical and commercial proposals;
Coordinate
the sales activities with the Sales team to achieve financial targets;
Train
the Sales team to ensure proper understanding of the program and build sales
capacity;
Liaise with
the Secretariat of the relevant industry IATA working groups and taskforces to
present and promote ORAT services;
Participate
in various industry conferences, workshops, events, seminars and forums as a
speaker and panelist to ORAT, increase awareness, generate leads and identify
opportunities;
2.
Develop ORAT Consulting services:
Develop a
data repository for business leads;
Develop
simple tools for day-to-day ORAT operations;
Recruit and
manage external ORAT experts, ensure they retain the knowledge and skills, and
consistently improve the quality of service to meet IATA’s and customer’s
expectations;
3.
Manage ORAT consulting projects:
Prepare,
and maintain adherence to the budget and timeframe;
Lead
internal and external Consultants and Subject Matter Experts assigned to the
project;
Provide
quality assurance on the delivery and quality control on the deliverables;
Manage the
client relationship and satisfaction in the context of the project, including
post-project feedback collection;
Ensure the
issuance of IATA invoices at client-agreed milestones;
4.
Deliver ORAT consulting projects:
Contribute
to project activities and deliverables as required;
Participate
and present deliverables in client meetings as required;
Establish,
manage, and maintain strategic relationships with senior representatives of key
stakeholders. These stakeholders include airline and airport management,
vendors, sub-concessionaires, consumer groups, and the airport community as a
whole;
Close
collaboration between dedicated teams of experts and airport end-users is
crucial. Facilitate this collaboration to ensure methodical and timely
preparation;
Helps
mitigate risks associated with the activation of new airport services and
facilities to minimize delays and ensure a smooth transition to active
operations;
5. NDP Administration:
Manage all
ORAT NPD relevant administration matters such as revenue contract processing,
invoicing, SME contract processing, NPD reporting, Forecasting, etc..
We would love to hear from you if you have
A University degree (Bachelor, Masters or PhD) (Air Transport / Airline Management or Aerospace Engineering preferable but not mandatory);
Experience of at least 10 years within an airline working on ORAT management and / or airport operations related topics;
Solid knowledge of international airport development and operations;
Proven track record of delivering ORAT projects;
Prior experience as a Consultant, which would be a definite advantage;
Proven ability to motivate, mentor and lead staff;
Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to write reports in English and present them to senior executive managers;
Strong analytical mind-set;
Entrepreneurial spirit and willingness to try new approaches to finding solutions;
Proven influencing and communications skills, including strong public speaking capabilities as well as the ability to generate concise and detailed written reports and presentations;
Motivation to demonstrate tangible results and get things done;
Strong sense of ownership with high standards; high level of motivation and organizational skills, ability to multi-task and perform under tight deadlines;
Experience in working in multi-cultural and multi-ethnic environment;
High level of computer literacy with proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Access & Project;
Fluency in English is mandatory, both written and spoken is essential, other languages is asset.
