Role Introduction
Reports to: Hub Operations Manager
The role will monitor Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA) hub operations, ground activities and ensure services extended to our valuable customers are of the highest standard which complies with Cathay Pacific’s established requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure our aircraft handling meets the safety and security standard and requirement of the company and Hong Kong Civil Aviation Department (HKCAD)
- Ensure departures at HKIA meet our On-Time-Performance targets (OTP)
- Coordinate and monitor day to day operations by providing hassle free experience to our transfer passengers and their baggage, focusing on Hub connectivity and maintaining HKIA as an admired Hub
- Monitor the performance of services providers i.e. HAS and maintain constant contact with the company’s external and internal sections, government bodies and the Airport Authority
- Report and respond to all Emergency and Accident (E&A) matters and represent both Cathay Pacific and Airline Operators Committee in Airport Emergency Centre
Requirements
- Post-secondary qualifications
- Minimum 5 years airline experience in ground operations and customer services
- Experience in supplier management is a plus
- Polished communication skills with fluent spoken and written English and Chinese (Cantonese and Putonghua)
- Strong leadership and people management capabilities with solid supervisory experience
- Strong problem solving, decision making and organising skills
- Good interpersonal skills with flair in providing excellent customer service. Able to work shift duties including overnight shifts
- As this is a Safety Sensitive Role, appointment is subject to passing a pre-employment drug test in accordance with HKCAD Guidance for Screening of Psychoactive Substances (CAD373)
