Job Summary
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Fuel and De-icing, you will perform daily reconciliations of high-value inventory, including jet fuel and de-icing fluid. The role requires precise, timely reporting, advanced database skills, and the ability to use vendor portal APIs to streamline reconciliation and reporting.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Maintain the accuracy and integrity of automated fuel and de-icing tracking systems across Canada.
- Perform daily reconciliations of BOLs, fuel tickets, and station reports.
- Perform monthly jet fuel and de-icing fluid reconciliations, promptly identifying discrepancies and coordinating resolution.
- Perform monthly Consortium Fuel Inventory reconciliations and reporting, with accurate documentation.
- Use vendor portal APIs to accelerate reconciliation and improve accuracy.
- Support process improvements through the enhancement and optimization of database systems (e.g., SAP S/4HANA, SQL, Microsoft Access, Oracle).
- Prepare weekly fuel and de-icing cost analyses, identifying variances and recommending corrective actions.
- Prepare and present the monthly Customer Fuel and De-icing Invoicing Profitability Analysis.
- Analyze and report annual fuel volume usage by station, highlighting key trends.
- Audit fuel and de-icing vendor invoices, identifying and correcting errors or discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Provide analytical support to internal and external stakeholders and resolve inventory-related inquiries.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- 3+ years' experience in accounting, inventory reconciliation, or financial analysis, with a solid grasp of accounting principles.
- Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
- Demonstrated experience reconciling high-value inventory such as jet fuel or de-icing fluid, preferably in airline or aviation.
- Advanced Excel proficiency (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, macros, advanced formulas).
- Proven experience building, managing, and optimizing databases (SAP S/4HANA, SQL, Microsoft Access, Oracle) for reconciliation and reporting.
- Experience integrating vendor portal APIs into existing systems to improve reconciliation speed and accuracy.
- Strong analytical and data-entry skills, with exceptional attention to detail and organization.
- Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment and adapt to shifting priorities.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively.
