About The Role & Team
SITA is proud to present a great opportunity for a highly motivated
Network Engineer to join our dynamic team. You will be part of a diverse and creative team that is continually striving to offer the best quality products and services that are continuously transforming air travel.
As a
Network Engineer, you will play a key role in the development, deployment, configuration and maintenance of our network core infrastructure; focusing on automation to deliver robust and secure environments for our Airport Foundations.
The ideal candidate will have good problem-solving skills and a strong desire to implement scalable and sustainable technological solutions. Part of the scope includes a close working interlock with development, operations, and IT teams to automate and optimize our systems, ensuring they are highly available, performing, and resilient.
What You’ll Do
- Function as part of a squad to design, build out and maintain our network core infrastructure through automation, using IaC, for our Airport Foundations through collaboration with Architects, Cloud Infrastructure Engineers and stakeholders.
- Ensure high availability and performance of core Network infrastructure through pro-active monitoring, maintenance, troubleshooting and capacity planning.
- Support implementation and management of disaster recovery solutions and backup strategies.
- Automate routine tasks and create tools to improve team efficiency and system robustness.
- Participate in resolving issues and root cause analysis with Cloud services and infrastructure platforms related to network connectivity.
- Analyze system performance and recommend improvements to ensure optimal utilization of Network resources.
- Ensure that Network environments adhere to security best practices and organizational compliance requirements.
- Maintain and update network documentation, including network diagrams, configurations, and operational practices to ensure knowledge transfer within the team.
- Oversee the implementation of security patches and updates in a timely manner.
Qualifications
ABOUT YOUR SKILLS
- 2-3 years demonstrable knowledge and experience in:
- Networking & Security fundamentals (Network Topologies, Routing Protocols, Switching concepts, Firewalls, Security Protocols, etc.)
- Networking protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, DHCP, NTP,IPsec vpns, etc.)
- Network Monitoring & Observability solutions.
- Expertise with Cisco EIGRP, OSPF, and Spanning Tree along with 9200/9300/9400 and ASA/FPR and Palo Alto NGFW
- DNS protocols, concepts, and best practices to include experience with DNS server software (e.g., BIND, Microsoft DNS, or Unbound).
- Cloud DNS services (e.g., AWS Route 53, Azure DNS, etc.
- Good diagnostic and problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze systems logs and data.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
NICE-TO-HAVE
- Network certifications (e.g., Palo Alto (PCNSA/PCCSE), Cisco CCNA,CCNP, Versa (VNX100/VNX400)
- Experience with Terraform or Ansible.
- Experience or understanding of CI/CD pipelines and automation.
- Experience beyond simple scripts, in languages such as Python, PowerShell, Bash, etc;
