Job Summary
The Quality Engineer is responsible for reducing cost of poor quality and improving customer quality ratings. through root cause analysis and problem resolution.
Job Responsibilities
- mprove and maintain customer quality ratings.
- Collect and analyze performance data to facilitate root cause corrective action and reduce cost of poor quality.
- Root cause analysis and problem resolution within manufacturing cells using structured problem solving.
- Lead corrective action responses to both internal and customer corrective actions.
- Conduct process, product and system audits.
- Disposition non-conforming product and ensure corrective actions are implemented as required.
- Perform AS9102 First Article Inspection and present results to customer representatives.
- Facilitate Product Delivery with customer and government oversight, as required.
- Run daily, weekly, monthly metrics.
- Track corrective actions and process improvements through implementation and control.
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor degree in Quality, Engineering or related fields of study; Will consider 8 years of professional Quality Engineering experience for manufacturing, in lieu of degree
- 3 years of professional quality experience in manufacturing
- 1 year of professional experience with AS/ISO quality standards for manufacturing
- Must be able to perform work subject to ITAR/EAR regulations and/or program requirements
Preferred Qualifications
- Aerospace or aircraft parts manufacturing
- Quality Accreditation.
- Graduate Degree in Engineering.
- Experience with MS Office, specifically Excel and Minitab.
- Quality systems experience (AS9100, inspection, FAI, PRB/MRB).
- Lean and Continuous Improvement skills / 6 Sigma background
