Provides technical support to any flow within the Shop, related to the engine and its components. It is the contact and link between OEM and the Shop to acomplish the following: clarify criteria, obtain repairs, conduct improvement methods by monitoring CSC cases based on OEM instructions, Customers and Aeronauthical Authorities.
Responsibilities
- Provide answer to technical inquiries from Operations (TR, NC, ANDON, etc) related to the product.
- Support to technical inquiries from internal areas (Repairs, Inspection, Configuration, Purchasing, etc).
- Sending of inquiries to the OEM (CFM, Collins, Boeing, etc).
- Creation of technical reports for investigation engines.
- Feeding and monitoring CSC cases database.
- Decision making oriented to cost avoidance.
- Monitoring and analysis of workscope increments.
- Challenge of rejected cases from the OEM, when applicable, to accomplish adherence to the original workscope.
- Analysis and proposal of instructions for reworks on the Shop Visit.
- Participate in preparation meetings for engine's induction to provide technical feedback on instructions (if applicable)
Qualifications
- Management of technical documentation (ESM, AMM, CMM, IPC, AD, SB, etc)
- Knowledge of Aeronautical Regulations (FAA, EASA, AFAC).
- GD&T, interpretation of technical drawings
- Knowledge of inspection methods
