Senior Technical Lead
What the role has to offer
- As a Senior Technical Lead, you will:
- Deploy the adequate Practices and Tools to reach the required maturity according to Project/Product delivery challenges
- Work with the discipline delivery team to make them efficient, identify gaps and associated actions to support delivery continuous improvement
- Capitalize and share knowledge and assets dedicated to delivery discipline
- Ensure the engineering deliveries from the subs (internal and external)
PROJECT SPECIFICATIONS:- Secure the incremental baseline definition and the allocated flow-down.
- Define and deploy the change management process with the 2 main subs.
- Lead the major change with subs contractors (gaps analysis, technical impact externally and internally, identify the schedule impact, etc).
- Work closely with the PDA ES to ensure the main design issues are addressed and closed before the freeze of the design.
- Setup a collaborative approach with the THALES KIEL TEAM in order to work as an integrated team TNL/TK.
- Ensure the consistency of the technical schedule (dependencies and deliveries) from subs and to be the TECHNICAL LEAD POC with DXC.
- Technical decisions & Architecture choices à Ensure the completion of these choices by cooperating with the Arch/PDA and has the delegation (if necessary) to manage these choices in front of the SUBs
- Ensure the internal reviews and the adequate process are followed (DDQS) and consistent with TNL and TK.
- Contributes (if necessary) to the technical definition (interfaces, req baselines, etc)
About You
PROFILE:
- You graduated with a Master of Engineering or Computer Science or in University
- You have a minimum of 5 years’ experience among the following positions: Engineering Manager, IT / Technical Project Manager, or Software Engineering Manager (SwEM)
- You want to lead a technical team in a challenging environment
- You want to delight your customers and build strong relationships
- You are willing to engage and develop your team using collaborative work and challenging approaches
- You believe in continuous improvement and work accordingly
- You sound convincing and persuasive
COMPETENCIES:
- You know how to verify the technical deliverables of engineering teams (customer needs, OCD, requirements, architecture choice…)
- You are able to lead and manage technical engineering projects, meeting the requirements with a clear view of the risks and opportunities
- You are able to engage and influence a diverse set of stakeholders as well as creating clear and achievable goals
- You are able to take decisions–even in uncertain contexts
NICE TO HAVE:
- Knowledge in Information and Communication Systems
- Experience with German/Dutch Customer and/or suppliers
- Willing to move frequently to Kiel and Sub-Sites (Germany/Netherlands)You are willing to engage and develop your team using collaborative work and challenging approaches
