Additive Manufacturing Process Design and Manufacturing
Job Description
You will lead metal printing process development & design for AM, and manufacturing engineering. You are responsible to Head of AMDC (Advanced Manufacturing Design Center).
You will work with a dedicated team on results orientated AM solutiond with focus on commercialization, which involves R&D collaborations on wide range of AM systems and materials, AM process definition & qualification, AM products certification, manufacturing and completion of end-user parts.
You will be part of ST Engineering Additive Manufacturing framework in capability development as well as values-add AM product development, to support group wide initiatives and applications including overseas BUs.
Your job portfolio includes metal AM process development & associated design for AM, and manufacturing engineering, from R&D planning & execution, technology demonstration & commercialization, to application for products, within the schedule and budget of each project, which are set together with your inputs. Your responsibilities include: -
- Design and continuously improve AM process for metal additive manufacturing.
- Formulate and prove soundness of the AM specification to achieve required performances with the understand of process and aviation qualification &certification requirements
- Integrate the process into the Design Organisation process and Production Organisation process seamlessly
- Develop end-to-end AM solution by integrate pre- / post-process and quality inspection with in-process implementation
- Recommend new material/AM system and process optimisation to better address the needs from end-user and market
- Execute AM product design and printing strategy in optimising the outcome in timely manner as manufacturing engineer
- Document process definition, findings in development, qualification and certification.
- Comply with company procedures and SOPs
- Observe project schedule and budget, and deliverables
- Timely communicate, update and report assignment progress, status and matters of concern
Requirements
A mature and experienced professional who is independent and has sound understanding of metal AM processes, demonstrated passion in AM & its applications. The candidate is engineering trained with first degree and minimum current 5 years experiences in metal AM process development and direct involvement in metal 3D printing process. Metallic material training and background is added advantage.
He/She is expected to demonstrate experience in metal AM printing design and printing execution. Aerospace engineering experience is added advantage.
The candidate is expected to be self-driven and demonstrate ownership to his/her responsibilities, a team player who share updates timely with self-initiative.
