This is a brilliant opportunity to work as part of the MEH Alliance on the prestigious Hinkley Point C Nuclear project. The alliance work across the project to integrate and coordinate the delivery of all main Mechanical, Electrical, Heating, Ventilation and Air-Conditioning (MEH), cabling and associated support services. This innovative approach will help different contractors work as a single entity to deliver the complex installation of cabling and pipework in the power station’s vast network of rooms.
The role
As a Compounds Project Assistant, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. Being part of the MEH Alliance working on Hinkley Point C is a chance to be involved in a major project with national significance. The role support the planning, execution and monitoring of the delivery and deployment of MEH offices and facilities.
Day-to-day, you’ll assist the Compounds MEH Project Manager by coordinating project activities, managing project documentation, and ensuring project tasks are completed on time ands within scope.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of project plans, schedules, and timelines
- Coordinate project activities, ensuring tasks are completed on time and aligned with project goals
- Monitor project progress and report any issues or delays to the Project Manager
- Schedule and organize project meetings, prepare agendas, and record minutes.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including project plans, schedules, and reports
- Prepare regular status reports and update project stakeholders on progress
- Serve as a point of contact for project team members, stakeholders, and external partners
This role is full time, thirty-seven hours per week, and is based on site at Hinkley Point C.
Essential experience of the Compounds Project Assistant
- Experience with maintenance and preparation of documentation and reporting
- Experience with Communication and Stakeholder Management
Qualifications for the Compounds Project Assistant
- Level-3 qualification in Engineering, Business or Project related subject
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field is desirable
