Position SummaryThe Leisure Sales Manager is responsible for driving the airline's sales and revenue growth in the leisure travel segment across France. Reporting directly to the Country Manager, the Leisure Sales Manager will manage relationships with travel agencies, tour operators, and online travel platforms, ensuring that the airline’s products and services are well-positioned and promoted within the French leisure travel market. This position focuses on aggressively pushing leisure products in a highly competitive market, ensuring the airline’s presence is strong. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in leisure travel sales, be highly customer-focused, and possess strong partnership-building skills.
Key Accountability - Develop and implement aggressive sales strategies to promote and push the airline's leisure travel products through travel agencies, OTAs, and tour operators, maximizing revenue and market penetration.
- Proactively pursue and secure new partnerships and sales channels, expanding the reach and visibility of the airline’s leisure offerings in the French market.
- Collaborate with marketing and pricing teams to design targeted promotions that resonate with leisure travellers, ensuring alignment with seasonal demand and key travel trends to drive profitability.
- Lead efforts to position the airline’s leisure products prominently across partner platforms and campaigns, enhancing visibility and driving customer engagement.
- Organize and participate in promotional events, sales workshops, and other initiatives to boost product awareness, ultimately increasing bookings and market share.
- Partner with key stakeholders to create compelling tour packages and special offers tailored to the preferences and needs of French leisure travellers.
- Strengthen relationships with travel agencies, OTAs, and tour operators by offering regular updates, training, and incentives to drive their commitment to promoting the airline’s leisure products.
- Conduct regular partner meetings and negotiations to secure optimal placement of the airline’s leisure offerings, ensuring strong market presence.
- Monitor and evaluate partner performance, collaborating to develop joint sales initiatives that optimize the promotion and sales of the airline’s leisure products.
- Identify untapped segments and niche opportunities within the leisure market, formulating strategies to expand the airline’s presence in these areas and increase overall market share.
- Provide consistent feedback to the Country Manager and global sales team on emerging market opportunities, keeping leadership informed of trends and potential growth areas.
- Collaborate closely with global sales, revenue management, and marketing teams to ensure leisure product offerings meet market demands and are optimized for performance.
- Contribute to pricing strategy discussions, ensuring that leisure product fares remain competitive while supporting the airline’s profitability goals.
- Coordinate with marketing teams to design and execute targeted campaigns and promotions that drive increased bookings and brand visibility in the leisure travel segment.
- Regularly report on sales performance, partnership developments, and the success of leisure product promotions to the Country Manager and headquarters, highlighting key insights and outcomes.
- Leverage data-driven insights to assess the effectiveness of sales initiatives, identifying areas for improvement and implementing adjustments to enhance performance.
