As a Telecommunications Support Engineer, you will manage the telecommunications infrastructure operations, lifecycle, and deployment of the SITA For Aircraft radio communication network.
Reporting to the Senior Manager Infrastructure you will be a part of the SITA For Aircraft Customer Services & Operations team.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
•Operational support of the radio infrastructure located at airports, monitoring the network, and responding to alarms.
•Participate in the implementation of a multi-year project to deliver SITA solutions including planning, documentation, staging, installation, migration, and acceptance testing.
•Collaborate on regional radio infrastructure projects using ITIL process in ServiceNow. Includes activities such as site identification and survey, negotiation on lease agreement, operating license authorization, equipment ordering, configuration, logistics and cutover.
•Use tools to monitor trends, to arrange and analyse the data, and make proposals for service or infrastructure improvements. Prepare performance or capacity reporting and provide recommendations for corrective actions.
•Provide support to field teams and technical assistance for the diagnosis, isolation and restoration of incidents occurring on the aircraft communications network.
•Coordinate and follow up on incidents or requests using ServiceNow to ensure resolution or optimization actions are captured and completed.
EXPERIENCE
- At least 3 years experience in implementation or support of infrastructure platforms application deployments implementing systems and modules with experience in multiple full lifecycle implementations.

EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS
- Bacherlor's degree or equivalent preferably in Computer Science IT Engineering Mathematics or similar.- Where applicable a recognised professional certification is desirable.
