Role Summary
The Strategic Initiatives & Implementation Mgr is the subject matter expert in developing and delivering strategies that elevate the effectiveness of Alaska Airlines’ sales function. As an individual contributor, this role exercises considerable judgment to make decisions to optimize sales programs that deepen corporate and guest preference for Alaska.
Key Duties
Manage strategic sales initiatives including those tied to SAF/sustainability and/or joint contracting/alliances.
Participate as a member of sales “deal desk” that serves as a center of excellence with centralized sales go-to-market strategy, economic analysis, contracting, and value-added services.
Build, iterate, and deliver compelling corporate sales presentations tied to strategic initiatives (e.g., SAF/sustainability, joint contracting/alliances platforms).
Negotiate value-added deals with external corporate and industry partners.
Manage execution of strategic roadmap for Alaska’s sales initiatives.
Supports the execution of special projects that impact sales development activities including the ‘Alaska for Business’ platform and broader corporate sales initiatives.
Provide analysis and input in support of commercial planning decisions, company presentations, and internal/external communications.
Augment industry datasets with Alaska-proprietary information to develop novel ways of evaluating new and existing sales opportunities.
Influence targeting and testing strategies to continually improve and optimize sales program performance.
Apply knowledge of the competitive environment both domestically and globally to help guide how and where Alaska is positioned to win.
Job-Specific Experience, Education & Skills
Required
4 years of experience in network planning, sales, strategy consulting or related area.
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, economics, statistics, mathematics, finance or related discipline, or an additional two years of experience in lieu of this degree.
Advanced skills in MS Excel, PowerPoint, power BI tools.
Strong communication and presentation skills, with ability to work & communicate across all levels.
High school diploma or equivalent required
Minimum age of 18
Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
Preferred
Airline Industry experience.
Experience in database and CRM management (Salesforce or equivalent).
Expert analytical skills and understanding of analytical processes.

Salary Range
$84,600-$142,600 / year
Pay Details
GEO 1: $86,400.00 - $129,600.00
GEO 2: $95,000.00 - $142,600.00
Salary Details
Pay will be based on multiple factors, including and not limited to location, relevant experience/level and skillset while balancing internal equity relative to other Alaska/Horizon employees. Alaska/Horizon is committed to fair, unbiased compensation along with competitive benefits in all locations in which we operate.
Note: We don’t typically hire at the top of the range.
