Northrop Grumman Aeronautics has an opening for a
Supply Chain Program Director 2 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals to support our advanced programs. In this role you will be accountable and have the authority for the operational efficiency, strategy, planning and execution of Global Supply Chain material and services requirements. Responsible as a main focal point for the Program Management Office for the entire GSC functional homeroom, supply chain and coordinates cross-functionally to ensure that all GSC commitments are met and that appropriate mitigation plans are developed and executed to address any programmatic risks, issues and/or opportunities related to GSC and the suppliers. Develop the material strategy and leads the activities for GSC in all phases of the Business Acquisition Process.
Responsibilities
- Lead Matrixed organization of approximately 150 employees
- Drive affordability initiatives and opportunities
- Champion for leaders and all team members of the supply chain organization
- Responsible and accountable for the strategy, planning, and execution of all supplier content
- Manage supplier relationships and support negotiations for major subcontract and large procurement suppliers
- Coordinate planning, budget management and execution of supplier events
- Total Cost Management of GSC budget allocations
- Provides leadership for the GSC organization in a matrixed environment, ensuring strategies and plans are aligned with the business areas with a strong focus on mentoring leaders across the GSC functions
- Issue & Problem Resolution: The ability to identify and quickly address supply chain impacts through a systematic, proactive, approach to issue and problem resolution that identifies, communicates, monitors, and promptly resolves conflicts across all levels of the program
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree with at least 15 years OR Masters with at least 12 years of experience of experience in in supply chain management, program management, operations, business management
- Must have 4 years of experience leading in a matrixed environment
- Must have Cost Account Management experience
- Must have Aerospace & Defense experience
- Demonstrated experience leading the performance of tasks on schedule, at cost and achieving all requirements as either project lead, integrated program team or cost account manager
- At minimum, an active DoD Secret level clearance is required to apply and to start the role
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience briefing executive-level audiences and developing executive level briefings
- Solid understanding of supply chain metrics and key performance indicators
- Robust risk management experience
- Solid understanding of supply chain metrics and key performance indicators
- Extensive supplier management experience
- Successful applicants will be action-oriented, self-starters, with an ability to lead through influence.
Salary Range: $197,500 - $296,300
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
