About The Role
To perform manual handling activities safely within designated operational teams and zones such as: aircraft handling, airside baggage hall, transfer and terminating in feeds, arrival baggage hall, cargo campus; baggage tracking and scanning; aircraft cabin cleaning, aircraft exterior and interior cleaning, washing and cleaning of Vehicles and Ground Service equipment, asset distribution, build and brake general cargo shipment (s) safely, handle special cargo, delivering services in such matter to maintain high operational standards in line with company polices, respective Customer Airline Standard Ground Handling Agreements and service level agreements.
Responsibilities
- Handle and load baggage/cargo and office and operational supplies safely in accordance with published procedures, and under the direction of assigned team leader.
- Scan and track the baggage in accordance with published procedures and under supervision of the assigned team Lead.
- Physical handling of cargo materials including special products in timely and safely manners.
- Assists physically handicapped passengers or other passengers with special needs.
- Moves / handles and complete all job related working equipment during the duty hours as directed by shift supervisor.
- Cleans aircraft cabin, Aircraft Interior, Exterior cleaning and provide help assisting at workshops and stores safely and in line with cleaning and dressing of aircraft standard Procedures and SOP's.
- Packs and disposes rubbish correctly to prevent FOD on Airside.
- Keeps Aircraft Appearance vehicles clean and stocked with cleaning materials.
- Distribute and maintain the Personal Device Allocation (PDA) and Radio records ensuring inventory is completed as per the agreed schedule.
- Conduct the assets cleaning such as Radio, tablet, hand held terminal device prior the distribution to the operational staff.
- Keep asset distribution record as per the daily distribution.
- Performs washing and cleaning of Vehicles, Ground Services Equipment and performs housekeeping of assigned areas of work,
- Inform assigned team leader about any incident, accident, inappropriate conducts, operational constraints during the shift.
- Works with honesty and integrity and report of any misconduct related to theft or receiving benefits from customer.
- Perform other department duties related to his/her position as directed b the Head of the Department.
Qualifications
About you
Essential
- Able to communicate in English
- Basic Literacy and Numeracy skills
Preferred
- Holding a valid home country or Qatar Driving License
- Should be able to obtain a valid AVOP
