As we continue to expand our operations in the UAE, we are seeking a dedicated and experienced Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Compliance Representative to ensure the highest standards of safety, compliance, and sustainability across our facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Guide and ensure compliance through the implementation of EHS programs and legal requirements.
- Update, review, and audit company and legal program requirements to maintain adherence.
- Maintain and improve an effective EHS/Compliance management system, including auditing its effectiveness.
- Provide core and specialist training and development opportunities to staff.
- Mentor and troubleshoot to resolve problems and identify improvement opportunities.
- Assist with Facilities, Global Trade and Security Management System requirements.
Experience and Skills:
- Assist in EHS/Compliance Programs adherence with corporate and local requirements.
- Conduct training and induction of new staff into documented EH&S/Compliance management systems.
- Support external and internal audits, including compliance audits and annual reviews.
- Provide information, training, instruction, and advice to operational management and employees.
- Contribute to the review and revision of health & safety policies, plans, procedures, and forms.
- Prioritize site risk through risk assessment and Job Hazard Analysis.
- Assist with Incident Investigation and Root Cause Analysis.
- Monitor and report site Environmental Health and Safety metrics.
- Knowledge of local UAE laws and regulatory processes (Arabic Language an added advantage)
Qualifications/Experience Needed:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in Environmental, Health, or Safety in a manufacturing environment or consulting capacity.
- Proven analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a matrix environment and drive change through others.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage by influence.
- Knowledge and application of computerized maintenance management systems software.
- Adequate knowledge in the implementation of sustainability projects.
