Job Description
Lockheed Martin’s SOF GLSS Team, the leading provider of a wide range of tailored logistics, maintenance and sustainment services is seeking a Logistics Management Specialist to join the SOF GLSS team in Fayetteville, NC. The candidate will perform classified duties supporting multiple Special Operations groups.
What You Will Be Doing
As the Logistics Management Specialist your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Executes logistics and services requirements for mobilization, readiness, and demobilization of unit assets
- Plans distribution and sequence of work
- Manages information in automated tracking and accountability systems
- Manages installation requirements for handling of large shipments and items
- Manages all research, purchase requests, issue, receipt, and tracking for materials and parts
- Maintains records, logs, reports, and forms associated with logistical support
- Manages facilities and office equipment, administrative supplies and files
- Acts as sub-hand receipt holder for items as required
- Performs logistics and logistics support activities in cross-functional areas
- Interacts with internal customers and suppliers for product planning, problem resolution, and process improvement
- Submits unit sub-tasks and requisitions to Supply Support Activity (SSA)
- Examines and inventories items received, verifying identity, part number, and quantity
- Responsible for shipment safety standards and correct material handling methods
- Facilitates procurement planning sessions with user departments
- Identifies potential vendors using open source research methods
- Provides assistance with the formulation of Justification and Authorization (J&A) documents and associated documentation
- Reviews requisitions, purchase orders and reports for accuracy and compliance
- Performs other duties, including physical inventories, preparation/maintenance of reports, minor maintenance/operation of various types of vehicles/material handling equipment, and area maintenance of work areas
- Receives, processes, edits and tracks purchase requests
- Serves as the primary internal and external customer contact on all matters pertaining to the ATD section's logistics and acquisition policies, plans, and objectives

Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Maryland, Washington or Washington DC is $63,500 - $121,800. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
