The PW1100G-JM geared turbofan engine powers the Airbus A320 family of aircraft and has a current in-service fleet of over 3,800 engines and 50 customers. The fleet and program are experiencing unprecedented levels of growth with ~300 new aircraft entering service each year over 900 overhauls in 2024 growing to 2,000 in the next several years. The Program Fleet Intern for the PW1100G-JM engine is part of the 30K Program Office in the Pratt & Whitney Commercial Engines business. The 30K Program Office is responsible to ensure the achievement of total program venture and leads the Integrated Product Management Team (IPMT). The Fleet Intern has the unique opportunity to support the growth of this new fleet and to work with many organizations across Pratt & Whitney on initiatives that support the safe and reliable operation of the PW1100G-JM engine.
What You Will Do
- Collaborate with cross functional teams (GTF Aftermarket, Engineering, Quality, Industrial, Customer Programs, Finance, Legal, etc.) around fleet retrofits for safety and reliability
- Assist in developing executive communication
- Track fleet reliability metrics and report on trends
- Help improve processes and standard work for critical team functions
- Provide support to digital initiatives
Qualifications You Must Have
- Enrolled in undergraduate or graduate degree program
- Must be a U.S. Citizen. This position may require access to systems/tools that are restricted to individuals who possess US citizenship
Qualifications We Prefer
- Minimum GPA of 3.0
- Experience or interest in learning (macros writing, using python or equivalent)
- Naturally curious - Inquisitive to find the root of the problem and a solution
- Can carry a conversation and speak in complete sentences

What is my role type?

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.
Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee’s personal responsibility.
The salary range for this role is 37,000 USD - 82,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
