General Skillset
- Experience with SharePoint and PowerBI preferred
- Working knowledge of Minitab or other statistical software preferred
- Demonstrated capability leading diverse teams to solve issues and remove obstacles
- Master Black Belt trained and certified preferred
Education And Experience Requirements
Bachelor's Degree Lean Specialist/Practitioner or equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. Master's Degree preferred. 5 years related professional work experience. Six Sigma Black Belt required.
Position Purpose:The Lean Six Sigma initiative is a major tool in Gulfstream continuous improvement strategy. The Continuous Improvement Black Belt is a key resource to provide direction for the implementation of continuous improvement initiatives within the business group including the development and facilitation of strategic planning and deployment.
Job Description
Principle Duties and Responsibilities:Essential Functions:
- Utilize performance management, problem solving and Lean/Six Sigma tools as well as training, mentoring and influencing skills to achieve specific organizational change and financial objectives.
- Provide direction and facilitation of company business goals within deployment area.
- Drive results oriented continuous improvement initiatives using the proven methodologies of Lean and Six Sigma.
- Key resource to functional departments to identify, plan and implement Lean Six Sigma projects and value stream map processes.
- Actively lead multi-functional teams in continuous improvement efforts to reduce variation, defects and improve customer satisfaction.
- Conduct voice of customer exercises and define value.
- Work with functional departments, finance and other members of the organization in assessing, tracking and reporting the financial benefit of the Lean Six Sigma initiative. .
- Develop necessary training material, instruct training sessions and mentor/facilitate projects/events at all levels. .
- Provide management with project status updates, feedback, and appropriate reporting on selected projects via the Six Sigma project tracking system.
Additional Functions:
- Develop and maintain strong, positive business relationships with internal and external clients. .
- Identify and remove barriers that slow or prevent the success of continuous improvement. .
- Promote communication enterprise-wide and share Best Practices. .
- Some travel may be required. .

- Ability to interact with multiple layers of the organization, successfully initiate change and influence all organization levels.
- Strong interpersonal and change management skills.

- Proven track record of achievement, solid functional expertise skills and a reputation as a leader of change.
- Proven track record of success applying continuous improvement methodologies within operational and transactional environments.
- Demonstrated experience of balancing multiple tasks and priorities.
- Skilled at conducting / facilitating project work sessions with team leaders and working teams.
- Proficient with key personal computer software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Minitab).
