As the business expands, we are pleased to announce an exciting opportunity to join our Doha-based Qatar Airways Cargo Customer Experience team as a Lead Cargo Business Intelligence and Analytics Officer.
In this role, you will develop data models through analytical data processing and guide business leadership to specific decision making. Lead the team into providing solutions for internal stakeholder requirements and ensuring the MIS databases are refreshed and maintained on a timely and accurate manner. Guide internal departments in effective use of data through familiarization.
As part of your daily responsibilities, you will also:
- Enhance reporting and business insights by developing a "best-in-class" reporting function that delivers timely, meaningful business performance tools which drives measurable business value.
- Guide the business intelligence Officers and Analysts to develop and enhance the set of required standard reports for Cargo Management; (daily, weekly and monthly reports) by using/upgrading existing and supporting the development of new systems and processes.
- Develop logical and conceptual data flows to support major departmental project requirements within the Cargo Department and Qatar Airways, ensure all relevant KPl's for the Cargo Division within Qatar Airways are available on a timely basis.
- Share observations and recommendations with the Line Manager and the internal stakeholders to support their decision making based on the models and reports developed within the team.
- Manage the Cargo's repository of data (Data library (SharePoint) / Data Warehouse) effectively and ensure that high quality standards are maintained at all times.
Qualifications
About You
We are looking for a professional with the following skills and experience:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent with Minimum 5 years of job-related experience OR Bachelor’s Degree with Minimum 4 years of job-related experience
- Experience in both Cargo and Business Intelligence.
- Good Data Analysis skills for investigating data issues in reports and dashboards to identify root causes and provide solutions.
- Certification in advanced analytics (R, SAS, SPSS).
- Hands-on experience with Business Intelligence tools, such as PowerBl, Tableau, Qlikview.
- Strong ability to think through optimal data structures for intended business purposes.
- Ability to use consultative approach and persuasive communication with stakeholders.
- Proficiency in SQL is a bonus.
