Job Summary: The Project Engineer will use established procedures and work under limited supervision to perform assigned tasks by working cross-functionally with Engineering, Quality Assurance, Operations, Suppliers and Customers. Provide engineering design evaluations including responsibility for technical proposals, prototype to production, performance, customer presentations, schedule, and cost requirements. Will have expert knowledge of concepts, practices and procedures of assigned product or program. May lead a team of engineers on assigned projects. Essential Functions: Interface as required with other disciplines including marketing, manufacturing, quality assurance, purchasing, and customers as required to exchange information, resolve problems, and achieve results Work with interdisciplinary teams to ensure that designs meet the customers electrical, environmental and internal manufacturing requirements and standards Collaborate with other engineering departments and coordinate their specialized contributions to the development of the project Provide technical support for the engineering process, plan and design methods to improve production processes Prepare schedules and cost estimates on the engineering efforts required Direct functional, acceptance, qualification, or development testing on new or modified designs Function as technical interface for customers, assist customer with specification development Translate customer specification; generate design documentation required for prototype and/or production releases as needed Review industry policies and procedures to ensure data accuracy, security, and regulatory compliance Takes action to resolve operational problems and minimize delays Any other task assigned by your management Minimum Qualifications: Experience: 2 to 7 years of experience managing technical projects, or business issues requiring deep technical understanding of underlying product. Education/Certification: BS degree in engineering discipline, Project Management Professional (PMP) is a plus. Knowledge: Knowledge of concepts, practices and procedures related to project and program management in a technical environment; strong analytical and business acumen with a working understanding of finance. Skills: Excellent documentation, organization and time management skills; Demonstrated ability to lead complex projects through complete cycle in a matrixed organization: Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment. Ability to perform detailed financial and technical analysis. Must be able to work on-site in Lynnwood, WA. Several factors contribute to actual salary, including experience in a similar role or performing comparable job responsibilities, skills, training, and other qualifications.
