Job description:
You will be part of the newly set-up Procurement Centre of Excellence (CoE) that plays an important role in supporting the divisions with their procurement transactions to ensure compliance and achieve operational efficiency (by reducing queries and errors due to unfamiliarity with the procurement process). Your role encompasses supporting business stakeholders in the end-to-end procurement-to-payment process, such as preparing and publishing tender/quotation documents, onboarding vendors to the eProcurement system, preparing contract documents, creating Purchase Orders (POs), and following up on outstanding invoices, among other tasks. In addition, you need to ensure that procurement policies and procedures are complied with when executing transactions within the agreed service level agreement. You are also required to track the performance of the Procurement CoE and present it to management regularly. As part of this managerial role, you should identify opportunities to improve/streamline existing processes by removing redundant steps or automating processes using low-code tools such as Power Automate, etc. You also need to be a customer-oriented person who can assist business stakeholders with issues pertaining to procurement.
Requirements:

Degree in Accountancy, Business, or equivalent professional qualifications.

Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in a procurement role, with some experience in a compliance and governance role. Experience in a supervisory role will be an advantage.

Good understanding of the procurement function and some accounting knowledge will be an advantage.

Excellent communication skills in both verbal and written forms and in engaging and managing business stakeholders.

Meticulous with good analytical and problem-solving skills.

Proficient in systems such as SAP, electronic procurement systems, etc.

Able to excel in a fast-paced environment.

Experience in using low-code tools such as Power Automate, Power App, and building BI dashboards, etc. will be an advantage.
A three year contract will be offered in the first instance.
