Job Description:
The Sr. Manager, Program Management role is recognized as an internal expert and thought leader in area of expertise with broad experience across multiple functional areas including design, production, and test. Works under consultative direction against annual goals to manage large, complex project initiatives of strategic importance to the organization. Communicates within and outside of the organization to influence leadership to accept new practices, approaches, and concepts. Develops or champions new systems, concepts, or technologies. Recommends tactics and strategies that directly impact the achievement of overall business results.
Essential Functions:
- Directs all phases of production, development, and design qualification programs, from inception through completion.
- Manages concurrency dependencies between active hardware and software development and qualification, which overlap with manufacturing production.
- Ability to consider and negotiate complex changes across multiple contracts to ensure favorable net benefit for the company.
- Deep technical product understanding, including software, mechanical, and electrical performance considerations. Serves as a technical decision maker for both the internal project teams and influencer of customer technical stakeholders.
- Drives program execution to achieve key business and financial objectives for orders, revenue recognition, operating income, and free cash flow for new, continuing, or current programs.
- Responsible for the cost, schedule and technical performance of company programs or subsystems of major programs.
- Coordinates the preparation of proposals, business plans, Statement of Work (SOW) and specifications, operating budgets, and financial terms/conditions.
- Serves as primary customer contact for program activities, leading program review sessions with customer to discuss cost, schedule, and technical performance.
- Establishes design concepts, criteria and engineering efforts for product research, development, integration, and test.
- Establishes milestones and monitors adherence to master plans and schedules, identifies program problems, and obtains solutions, such as allocating resources or changing contractual specifications.
- Directs the work of employees assigned to the program from technical, manufacturing, and administrative areas.
- Psychological resiliency on par with Anthony Edward Stark, Steven Grant Rogers or equivalent
- Ability to travel 10% of the time.
- Experience interfacing and managing customers and government stakeholders.
- Soft skills (I.E. Proficient in MS Office, Strong communication…)
- EVMS
- Viewed as an expert within the field by peers in and outside the organization.
- Able to obtain and maintain a DoD Clearance.
Qualifications:
- Requires Bachelor’s Degree with 12 years of prior Program Management in a DoD manufactured product environment experience.
- OR Graduate Degree with 10 years of prior Program Management in a DoD manufactured product environment experience.
- In lieu of a degree, minimum of 16 years of prior Program Management in a DoD manufactured product environment experience.
- Must have a PMP Cert or ability to obtain within 1 year of hire.
- Must be a US Citizen.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- PMP Certification.
- Active Secret Clearance or higher.
In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $147K - $273K. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
