JSG is hiring a Mechanical Engineer - CAD in Irvine, CA. Must have a BS degree and a US Citizen.
Pay rate: $50-$60 DOE
Job Duties:
- Designs mechanical equipment, systems and processes. Performs calculations and analyses to ensure suitability of design. Solves problems related to the assembly, repair and test of environmental control systems.
- Performs assignments which involve responsibility for a secondary project or a part of a major project.
- Defense or aerospace industry experience desired. Experience in the development of thermal systems is a strong plus.
- Experience with electrical circuits and control theory a plus. May give directions and/or guidance to junior level engineers, designers and drafters.
- Works with colleagues in the department and in other departments. Writes reports as required. Presents designs to peers, other engineers and customers.
- Understanding of military specifications, environmental specifications, and test specifications desired. Hands-on test and hardware experience is required. Requires strong oral/written communication skills and must be capable of conducting effective oral presentations to customers.
- Bachelor’s degree (B.S.M.E) from four-year College or University or equivalent. Minimum two years of experience with design, analysis and development of industrial equipment. Knowledge of applied thermodynamics and mechanical design.
- Knowledge of drawing and drafting standards a plus.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and governmental regulations.
- CAD proficiency. Knowledge in analysis software is an advantage.
