Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is currently hiring for a
Supply Chain Procurement Specialist to join our Airborne Multifunction Sensors Division Global Supply Chain team, primarily supporting space programs. This position may be staffed as hybrid from our Baltimore, MD site. The team meets in the office on a semi-quarterly basis for team building, trainings, and larger team meetings as they support the business.
What You'll Get To Do
- Sources and procures goods and services of a commodity nature from many suppliers.
- Initiates Requests for Quotations and Proposals and analyzes proposed pricing from potential suppliers.
- Works with internal customers to ensure specifications are appropriate for the services or products required. Identifies opportunities to reduce cost, improve efficiency and manage risk through targeted negotiations.
- Ensure regulatory compliance through attention to detail for purchase orders of all dollar values in accordance with applicable FAR, DFARS, and related company procedures.
- Issues purchase orders and manages its life cycle.
- Manages performance of purchase orders, ensures compliance with all public law requirements as well as company (and business) policies and procedures including import/export regulations.
- Employs sound business practices and assesses supplier performance as part of follow-up activities. Ensures that appropriate documentation is provided to logistics/transportation& warehouse organization so that proper receipt is recorded.
- In conjunction with quality organization, evaluates and monitors supplier quality and reliability, as well as supplier ability to support required delivery schedules.
- Reviews and approves supplier payments as needed.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree and 2+ years of Procurement, Supply Chain, Sourcing, or closely related business experience; OR a Master's degree
- US citizenship
- Experience with MS Office including Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
- Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Procurement or Supply Chain experience for an aerospace and/or Defense Company.
- FAR/DFARS, government contracts, or equivalent regulated industries experience.
- Procurement experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP.
- Experience with MS Office including Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Strong multi-tasking skills.
Salary Range: $62,600 - $93,800
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
