The RoleBusiness Services is the central hub of the Chief Information Officer (CIO) Department, responsible for the smooth running of the CIO function – managing and overseeing all key governance meetings as well as delivering CIO inputs into MAG’s wider critical corporate governance meetings, on time and to an appropriate level of quality. This role has a direct reporting line into the PMO Director responsible for the Office of the CIO function and working alongside 3 other Heads of roles which include, Head of Technology Change PMO, Head of Strategic Change PMO and Head of Demand Management. This role is a critical role in the Office of the CIO function and, whilst your direct reporting line will be to the PMO Director, you’ll provide support to, and interact directly with, the Chief Information Officer (CIO) and the CIO Technology Leadership Team on a routine basis as well as managing close relationships with the wider CIO teams. You’ll contribute to the smooth running of the CIO ensuring that the function is meeting its overall performance targets and business plan commitments (including cost, revenue, people and customer goals), via effective monitoring, tracking, reporting and analysis. You’ll also be responsible for developing and maintaining effective relationships with key stakeholders across MAG (Risk, Compliance, Finance, People, Audit). You and your team will gather, analyse and present the evidence on the current status, risk profile, finance position, assurance, business continuity and overall performance of the CIO function, working alongside the other 3 Heads of roles in the OCIO. You’ll also work with Group Corporate Comms to plan & co-ordinate all internal communications to the CIO Department, arranging communications and using different methods to reach your target audience, as well as organising and supporting Leadership Events, All Staff calls & events You’ll play a key role in assessing the learning & development needs of the department, reviewing job families and career paths to support the various professions in the CIO, growing & developing our people to become high performing teams & working towards the CIO vision to become the world’s most intelligent airports.
What will make you successful in this role?You’ll have a minimum of 5 years’ experience working in a similar projects/programmes related role; leading and developing high performing teams of analysts; matrix managing a wide range of teams and SMEs to achieve business outcomes. You’ll also have demonstrable experience in owning and embedding robust processes to identify, track and manage KPIs in a comparable industry. You’ll have experience of working with industry leading portfolio management tools (PPM) and increasing adoption and exploiting opportunities to make recommendations based on associated key performance indicators. You’ll have excellent senior stakeholder management and influencing skills, being able to find the balance between collaboration and holding people to account if standards are not met. You’ll have excellent project and time management skills, as well as effective communication skills at all levels, including verbal discussion, report writing and adapting your approach to meet the needs of a range of different audiences; high level presentation skills, including the ability to convert complex data into an easily digestible format alongside a strong working knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint. You will have a sound understanding of learning & development needs across various professions in Service Delivery & Project Delivery, and the ability to create career paths & journeys using in house & 3rd party training methods.
