Operations Support Manager
Full Time
Derby or Bristol or Solihull/Hybrid (3 days/week on-site)
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Operations Support Manager to join our team. In this role, you will support our global supply chain to resolve critical issues and mitigate risk, by fostering strong relationships to enhance and improve Cost, Quality and Delivery.
Please note that due to the nature of this role, you will need to spend approximately 75% of your working time travelling both domestically and internationally.

Reporting to the Head of Operations Support, you will work with specific suppliers to define and lead the support programmes and activities required to address performance issues.

Your needs are as unique as you are. Hybrid working is a way in which our people can balance their time between the office, home, or another remote location. It’s a locally managed and flexed informal discretionary arrangement. As a minimum we’re all expected to attend the workplace for collaboration and other specific reasons, on average three days per week.
What you will be doing:
As an Operations Support Manager you will support engagements with our Suppliers from the initial analytics week, through the engagement to exit and handover back to the Supplier Management Team. You will also:
- Drive the identification, development and implementation of these robust supply chain processes and tools to prevent future risks of failure.
- Work with specific suppliers to define the support programme.
- Provide transparency on resources and activities required to address performance issues.
- Lead the execution of the support programme and integrate across organisational boundaries to deliver it.

- Tenacity, drive and flexibility are key attributes of all the leaders within the team along with an ability to build relationships and drive output.
- Six Sigma Green or Black Belt desirable.
- Effective problem solver, with knowledge and experience of using lean tools and techniques successfully to deliver improvements and create value.
- Operational (manufacturing) experience. Engineering knowledge/experience desirable.
- Planning & control knowledge/experience desirable.
- Strong team player, able to lead cross-functional teams and drive sustainable change to meet quality and delivery improvements across the Supply Chain.
- Able to work in challenging environments, with great engagement and influencing skills, to build trust and strong relationships at all levels.
- Experience of leading significant projects/programmes across a range of improvement activities.
